After studying at the London Business School, he knew he wanted to do something different. When friends started complaining about the difficulties associated with finding good baby sitting services, Faisal decided to fill the niche.
The babysitters are vetted and are usually nannies by day, au pairs, nursery teachers or nurses, students of health and education etc.
The criteria on which they are accepted to Kid Sitter are the following:
- DBS checked
- Paediatric first aid course completed
- References (from a child care position and not from family or friends)
- Interviewed in person
The process is strict and rigorous and they do their best to ensure that their sitters are completely checked and maintain a very high standard. More than half their sitters are bi-lingual.
The website provides an opportunity for the prospective employer to look at their profiles and choose the person they feel is best suited.
Furthermore, there are no membership fees, no joining nor any booking fees to pay regardless of how short the notice is that is given when a baby sitter is required. The price is fixed at £12 an hour 7 days a week and the website is manned 24-7.
