Dining out

Every parent with a young child knows how difficult it is to get a couple of hours to go out in the evening, whether it be for a meal, a concert or the theatre with a partner or a friend or both. It is a precious, rare gift of time to yourself and must be handled with so much preparation and care. Not only do you have to find the right care for your child but there is also the preparation of “the list” of all telephone numbers, carefully detailed plans of where you will be at what time, explicit instructions etc.  Finally, just leaving the house with what can be termed decent clothing (minus any child related stains that refuse to come off) and finding something that actually fits around your expanding waist line can turn out to be a pretty Herculean task.

Below are a few restaurants and event halls that are truly an experience. Hoping it helps make the evening one to remember (you don’t know when you will get another opportunity after all). Have a lovely evening!
