Stephen Grupetta This talk will explain what coding is and the various (and there are many) paths that schools take when they try to teach it. It will also discuss why coding is becoming more and more important in the society of today and, more importantly, that of tomorrow when our children will be ready to fully participate in it and shape it.”Stephen Gruppetta in addition to being a local parent also runs CodeToday which delivers coding courses for children and workshops for schools. A scientist by training, he quit academia to focus on helping children learn proper coding, properly! He enjoys coding and he enjoys teaching which is why he still prefers to both develop new projects and course curricula and teach the courses himself as much as possible.”

A 20% discount is on offer for anyone coming to the meeting and booking by 12th February 2017.

Noemi Jean-Clarke “Do you want to introduce your child to another language?”

This talk will take you through options and ideas to make of French a comfortable environment for your little ones. Be inspired to read, sing and play in French thanks to top tips from Noemie Clarke, founder of Eclectic Minds and language teacher.

Noemie has taught French to 3-year-old kids, to classes of 30 Mexican 6 year olds, as well as in secondary schools and to adults (we will not give ages…). Making French a part of her household was already not so obvious, therefore she knows about turning those challenges into a normal routine.

This event is free of charge and you will be able to enjoy discounts on the day from One Third Stories as well as from Eclectic Minds, which provides language classes for adults, no nonsense, practical and fun classes.
